THE STORY OF BLACK CANYON GOURMET POPCORN

Black Canyon Gourmet Popcorn, LLC. originated in a small town called Emmett, ID back in 1991. It changed hands, a few times, and names, then got moved to our hometown, Kuna, ID, about 10 years ago. About 8 years ago my husband and I bought the business from a couple who were retiring, so our kids would some day be entrepreneurs. Not only has our family grown during this time,  from 5 kids to 7 kids that we have had to adapt and make changes for, our business has also had to adapt and make changes as our business model shifted from retail to primarily wholesale to meet our family needs. We have grown it into quite a bustling wholesale operation now, from the little retail shop it was. My father in law and I were the only employees our first year but now we have been able to add three more employees to our business.

Currently we have a couple, small, out of state distributors in Oregon, Montana and Nevada, and before he retired, we had a larger distributor in Utah, and 2 local distributors. We are FDA and locally inspected due to out of state sales.

Because of these distributors we can be found at many local retail outlets.
